Daniel’s true passion has always been to be a top mechanic, owning a repair shop. Starting at an early age helped a neighbor restore old Volkswagen Beetles and Buses,. In high school he worked at an engine rebuild shop and a auto parts store. Daniel began college at UK as a mechanical engineering major, but quickly learned his preference for hands-on work. At Bluegrass Technical College, he completed an Automotive Technology Degree and an Associate’s Degree in Applied Sciences. Daniel’s professional work experience includes working at a local dealership and and independent import repair shop before starting Import Auto Specialists Inc. Daniel possesses specific dealer level training on Audi, BMW, Volvo, Ford, and Volkswagen and has been an ASE Master technician for 10 years. In his spare time he enjoys working on his old BMW 635CSI, flying airplanes, and being outdoors. Daniel lives in Lexington with his wife, Sarah; daughter, Amelia; son, Boone, and their english setter, Dixie. They are members of Southland Christian Church and volunteer in several local ministries.


Dan graduated from the Auto Technology program at BCTCS. He has factory training from Saab and years of experience with Audi, BMW, Honda, Lexus, Mini, Toyota, Volvo and VW’s. He has been a ASE master technician since 2003 and with our team since the beginning of 2012. In his spare time he enjoys learning about all things Saab.


Grant graduated from Eastside Technical School automotive program. He has experience as a service writer, car audio installer, and new car salesman. After several management jobs with local retailers he joined our team in 2013, as service manager. In his spare time he enjoys adding performance upgrades to BMW’s, Honda’s, and VW’s.


Ben joined our team in early 2015 after working at several other local import repair shops. He has a diverse set of skills a great deal of experience with the cars we service, especially older BMWs and VWs. In his spare time he enjoys working on older BMWs such as the E30, 2002, and Bavaria models.
